Different cleats for different sports?

Are running back cleats the same as soccer cleats, QB and the WR wear the same style?
I know baseball players wear different ones, but they’re hardly athletes.
Do QBs wear something more stable than a speed boot?

I wear track spikes for all sports. Baseball, golf, basketball, bowling, ice hockey. You name it.

if you are worried about price of cleats for your kid check out ebay. there are tons of cleats near new condition for $10-30
dont go thru eastbay or academy or something else before you search for the model you want on ebay. it makes it more economical to have baseball and football unique cleats.
especially if for a kid that will outgrow them by next season

Soccer cleats are different than football cleats in that they don't (can't by rules) have spikes on the underside near the toe. They have to be a certain length from the front edge so there's less chance of spiking others with that front spike.
Used to be that way when I was in school in the early 2000s anyway.
ETA: Regarding different football positions, football cleats usually have interchangeable spikes and they can use different lengths depending on field conditions and/or needs by position.

If I’m buying $200+ boots for soccer, he can wear them for QB, RB? I’m serious. I know ideally there would be a more stable boot for QB, but he still had to run his arse off if needed.

And different positions. Ankle support. Type of turf. Pretty obvious why different is needed.

Right, but soccer cleats aren’t illegal in football.
