I like to stick with the old school coaches shoes. The full horizontal "cleating" pattern works best for all my needs.

There’re very little kicking duties, though in 8th they get to kick off too. Last year’s team had 14 players...so everyone plays multiple spots. Up until he got hurt last year he’d scored every point the team had. Mostly as running QB.

He just misses some club practice. He’ll practice with the HS soccer team through the fall as well. I hope.

I wore adidas copas from u-12 thru college play. $99, but I was a center back and didn’t need Nike vapors to make it look like I was running faster.
I wore the same cleats as a place kicker.

What club is he with? I played for the Mandeville Lakers and we were traveling every weekend with 2 practices during the week fall and spring. I never would have had time to play any other sports, but I opted out u-17 to enjoy my senior year and kick footballs.

Gulf Coast United, HFC when they ask.
He’s mostly retired from tournament soccer, just tries to play league now. Team is going through flux though, he may need to play more this year.
He’s more about school sports now.

He wants to earn a spot on varsity soccer as an 8th grader too...which will be damn near impossible playing football through the meat of their prep for the winter season.

He doesn’t want to get noticed in soccer. He wouldn’t trade HS football to play on the US national team, or even playing in Europe...it’s the sport he loves, it’s just not enough. He wants those Friday nights.
