Supposedly a lot controversial data and dating techniques used by the archaeologist who claimed this.

Driven past the gate to get in there several times but it’s all on private property and you can’t see much of anything from the road.

You know, you can go down the road?

They have a museum and do tours of the area at very reasonable prices.

Pretty interesting place.

The purpose of the mounds is a mystery. They were not used for burials. “It could have been a way to reinforce relationships and cooperation,”

Good mystery for the OT to solve.

I'd guess as a fortification against other tribes if it wasn't abandoned frequently.

It almost looks like it has 2 "gates" opposite each other so herding animals into it could be a possibility as well.

Just visited poverty point this month. Even the archaeologists there claim Watson Brake is much older.

In other words, it was their camp.

I think we all knew in our hearts that all the forefathers of this great state came from Ouachita Parish. All the negatives were imported from other states while the Ouachitianians spread wisdom and knowledge across the state in a very noble manner.

That isn't shite. Sumerians were building ziggurats before that. Gobekli Tepe, etc. are several millennia older.
