Did you have any liberal professors in college?

I took a class that was a mock courtroom experience. He always took the liberal position. I think he was a Scientologist. The debates devolved into moral relativism, fake works of art, and teacher control over a classroom.
He once argued that because of the cost to the government, marriage should be disallowed because of the cumulative costs.

I had a polysci class for an elective i needed and the professor was this raging liberal... we had to do a mock "UN Summit" exploring the dangers and realities of climate change... needless to say i did not show up very much

You know it’s also possible that the professor was intentionally taking the side of an argument to play devils advocate? To, maybe, have the students use critical thinking skills and form a cohesive argument?
Just a thought.

I don't know. I took science/math/engineering classes that were devoid of politics.

He was too busy arguing death was such an abstract idea that it was a great deterrent when it comes to the death penalty. Or taking the devil’s advocate argument on the 3 strikes law.
Should have been a cop in the class to stop the tension in class at points.

Had an ecology professor that told us we'd be out of fresh water by 2015. Typical super liberal a-hole that never allowed anyone to question his bullshite. Made the tests subjective enough to make sure no one got out of line.

No, all of my professors just played Fox News the entire class hour

I had a class where the prof melted down about global warming and we ended up on Fox News.

I had one teacher who was a hairy legged feminist, probably lesbian. It was just a drama class or something stupid like that so it didn't matter. I didn't notice any liberal leanings in my history or poli sci professors.

Why participate in the debate and express your views when you could just skip class?

Didn't really know the politics of most of my professors. The only ones I ever had issues with were sociology professors so liberalism was redundant.

I had several professors who I suspected were liberal, but they never made their politics explicit in the classroom.
I did see one of them protesting outside the PMAC when Dick Cheney was at commencement, but she taught a literature course that I only took as an elective, and I was about to graduate, so I didn't give a shite.

Are there Catholics in convents?

I was fairly apolitical in college, and pretty naïve when it came to the far left.
I took a Sociology class my freshman year. Prof was about 250lbs of angry lib female.
First day of class she introduces herself then follows with "I am a lesbian liberal. That's right; I'm a man hater and a castrater."
I remember thinking "what the frick is going on?"
And this was in '95, way before people started losing their minds. I have to imagine that lady has gone off the deep end these days, if she didn't hang herself after Trump got elected.

I only remember one really liberal sociology professor at LSU that said he always wrote in his race as "human" on questionnaires. Most of my full time tenure in college was in the 1990s though and it seems to have changed some in the past 20 years or so.

I was in undergrad in the latter half of the '80s. I went t a liberal arts college and was a double degree major in English Lit and Chemistry. As a result of both those things, I was exposed to classes in just about every discipline. The faculty overall was very balanced and none were intrusive in the classroom. The most liberal professors in some of the humanities didn't force ideas at all merely presented them as possible ways to look at a subject. Probably the most conservative professor was an Art History professor who was also the fencing coach to spend a lot of time around her. One afternoon during practice her assistant came in and she had to leave practice to take a phone call from "Ronnie". Turns out it was some guy named Reagan.
Here is a LITTLE of her CV, she was also won 2 Olympic medals and her full life story was crazy cool.
Dr. Constance Dean Armitage Antonsen
Dr. Antonsen received her A.B. from the University of California at Berkeley, her M.A. from the University of Georgia, and her Ph.D. from the University of South Africa.
She was appointed to the faculty in 1962.
During her tenure at Wofford, Professor Antonsen was active in the Republican National Committee. Dr. Antonsen’s services included the positions of Chairwoman of President Reagan’s Conference on Aging, Co-Chairman of the S.C. Reagan/Bush ’84 Committee and as a member of the RNC Rules Committee in 1976.
Dr. Antonsen was also founder and coach of Wofford’s fencing team.

Most of mine that I can recall were fairly apolitical. Of the political ones, it was about 50/50 conservative/liberal. I certainly didn’t experience any liberal indoctrination so many conservatives whine about.
