Yes. We even got a thing from Balfour that came with our ring for each person to sign that turned your ring.

I recall some ring turning tradition, but I’m not sure if I participated or if there was any count involved.
Still have the ring in a safe deposit box. My nephew can sell it for weed money after I croak.

I don’t remember this being a tradition. But I graduated high school 35 years ago so maybe it was and I’ve forgot. And I lost my class ring somewhere in Germany not long after so I really haven’t thought about my class ring much since then.
