At the time I might’ve had that thought. In hindsight, f no. Although the one that comes to mind, we had lots of good times together that I won’t forget.

TL;DR version:

I don’t really like her, but pussy is pussy.

I was engaged to the girl of my dreams, we had been together 6 years. She was still the prettiest woman I've ever seen in person, no exaggeration. Her personality made her even more attractive.

She passed away in a car accident on her birthday. It's been 7 years now but it still hits me hard on the anniversary. It took me several years to move on and I went through all sorts of depression and hopelessness.

Finally found another that I like just as much and we're engaged, but I can't help but wonder what my life would be like had that not happened. It made me completely change my personality and profession, and I moved 12 hours away. I couldn't stand to live in that town anymore.

You wanted stories, there's my depressing one.

It would bum me out so much to find out a person I’ve been with for two years is so “meh” about me.

Yeap. She married pretty quickly. I haven't found someone yet that I even like.

Having hindsight I'm glad it happened. She fell in love and got engaged in less than a year. Just seems crazy to me that one week we are planning our future and the next you are completely over it.

And I hated the fact that she blocked me from everything then several months later started reaching out to me again like everything was cool between us. Messaging me behind her now husband's back.

I didn’t mean to characterize it that way, so I apologize if that’s how it came off.

She came out of a divorce and I had been in a relationship for 10 years. We’re just both enjoying each other and not forcing/rushing things. We don’t see the point in falling into the same traps we did previously.

However, we both know that searching for perfect sometimes means you wind up with nothing. I enjoy having a companion, but she’s not some fairytale unicorn princess. And she feels the same about me.

Oh and the sex is lit AF

That is a strange question and makes you sound desperate and heartbroken. I have had several 5 year relationships, never wanted to be officially married. But, own a house with my current. How long between? Not very. But I am a chick ?

This is what I'm talking about.

People think women fall in love easily. I call it infatuation. When a man falls, he falls hard. That's a big difference between us.

Yes, lifelong friend, HS romance. Broke up around college. She died in her 30s. Obviously an awful tragedy in its own right, but it's impossible not to think about the what-ifs in those scenarios.

Sorry for your loss, but I am also fascinated by stories like these. It’s the purest form of you never know what is going on in someone else’s life. Walk into a sales meeting and maybe a guy seems like an arse. You get back to your car and think man what a dick. Little do you know the guys kid, brother, mother, or wife may have died in a car wreck you know knotting about.

You should ask him who died in a car wreck.

I was with someone for six years. After we got engaged it became clear to me that she had a legit personality disorder and was fricking psycho. I called it off and moved across the country to protect myself. I don't regret anything, but it's been extremely difficult to lose the person and the future I thought I had. I'm still picking up the pieces from that one.

Yes. Best thing that could’ve happened to me. Married my (now and only) wife about 2 years or so later
