Is that really blood or just color from fresh cut wet wood? The pics are straight from a local news site so..

Man y'all need to chill. Y'all are pissed at The reporters tweet, pissed at Boat for speculating the victims race...
Just say a prayer for the victims and their families.
News is bad enough without all you drama queens getting butthurt over discussing it.

Man, that is as heartbreaking a thing as I've ever heard.

Just passed thru there gong home. Vehicle is still there. Sad, shocked looks on the LEO. No way I would stop there to fish. Steep bank and not enough room to be safe enough IMO

Where does one even park their car on that shoulder to go fishing? Seems like a shitty road with no shoulders and a steep drop off.

What kind of vehicle? The guy I see all the time has a silver gray truck. Parks on a very steep incline. I've wondered how he gets out?

I live right off LA 74 (near Bluff Road) and didn't get any rain today.
I live off Bluff in Bluff Meadows it rained hard for maybe 5 minutes right around this time. I left the house when it stopped and an Ascension Parish Sheriff had Bluff blocked in front of Fountain Hill

The one in the news photo. I'm assuming that's the one that hit the people fishing. That's the only vehicle I saw there. Still a lot of fire and PD there.

Who in their right mind sits 10' away from that curve and dropoff to fish, AND had kids there? Its very sad that this happened but a little common sense would have went a long way in this situation.

Well I hope they'll at least put a "no fishing for your own safety" sign there or something.
Terrible story.

Gotcha. I was wondering about the victims' vehicle if there was one.

What are you hoping to accomplish with your chest pounding chest at this point?
Posted on 6/24/14 at 7:27 pm to Will Cover
If the driver was texting when the accident occurred, I hope he/she goes to Hell.

I honestly can't imagine anyone texting or even talking on the phone while navigating that road. My wife won't even drive it unless she absolutely HAS to.
Posted on 6/24/14 at 7:35 pm to notiger1997
I'm my just asking the obvious question, doesn't make the situation any less grim or sad.
Posted on 6/24/14 at 7:36 pm to mikelbr
So sad. I bet the driver is miserable after tbis. Seems like a true accident in a bad stretch of road.

Seriously? I think it is one of the better two lane roads in AP.
