You got scammed.

If he really was on the level he would have called where he works and explained he'd be late, then called his gf, roommate, bf, parents, whatever for some help.

If for whatever reason he didn't have a phone he could ask to borrow one instead of trying to get money. For that matter he could have flagged down a cop to ask for help in getting in touch with someone.

Wave goodbye to the $30.

Did you quote a bible verse and then talk about the power of karma? Interesting to say the least.

I used the work karma loosely. Christianity does not have a word for ideology of karma. I guess I could have said. Love thy neighbor, pray for those who despitefully use you and vengeance is for the Lord.

That was the night he fled from the cops.

It got to the point where everyone knew him around Ivars and would screw with him.

if my car broke down, and I have to be at work in 30 minutes, I would be somewhere very near my vehicle at least.
It's just $30. He's probably already blown it on some lame bet he lost or at a casino.

Wasn't him but funny you bring him up. He approached my girlfriend and when we were leaving Pita Pit and asked for money for a cab or something. The OT had a thread posted that day that he was back at it again and I recognized his face. So we we were driving past him I rolled down my window and told him to walk over (he thinking I was going to help him out) and showed him that picture posted in the thread.

He told me to "frick off"

I always wondered who was stupid enough to keep these guys on the streets repeating the oldest scam in the book.

Had a guy come up to me at the Target on Millerville with a car belt in his hand claiming he was trying to make it to work on o'neal when the belt gave out on the interstate. Just needed some some cash to buy a new belt (apparently he didn't think to notice that the store he was peddling at didn't sell auto parts). He seemed hopeful when I stopped to listen to his story. I then asked him how the managed to keep his hands so clean getting that belt off the car in the dark on the side of the interstate. He got angrier than I thought he would. Guy in the next car came stand next to me "just in case" and we had a good laugh when the asshat finally walked away. Thought my smartass mouth had written a bad check for a minute there.

If my car broke down 30 minutes before work I'd call work and say my car broke down and I'm having it towed to a garage and getting looked at so I don't know if I'll be in today.

I would think most employers would understand.

As suspected, his employer never heard of him. Like someone said, he ruined it for the next guy that actually needs help.

And ill post his name that he used to help out the rest of the OT BR residences if he's a phony.

Can't wait til you call his fake work and post his fake name here, that will solve a great deal.
