I drunk 22 yo crashing into your shite at 4Am should not be treated like a 16yo that tapped your bumper.

Well, looking at that at first glance, I’d wager to say that the Altima is totaled. The insurance will say frame damage, ect ect, and will tell you that it would cost more, or eclipsed the percentage of costs at a body shop they use to determine whether or not the Altima is totaled.
Time to start looking for a new/used car for your son.

That car is definitely not totalled.

Yes. Police don't venture onto private property for an accident without injury. At least that's what I was told when a vehicle of mine was hit in a shopping center parking lot.
Same shite happened to me. Police were fricking useless but I wish they would have just told me straight up instead of waiting an hour and a half for their arse to show up and then being let know they can’t do shite.

Slurred speech, difficulty walking, overly emotional, hugging on everyone, a strong odor of alcohol coming off her, she was telling us she was trashed, and the open container in her car were all clues

Sounds to me like she may have been drinking.

By knowing that he had absolutely nothing to do with that.

You could've gone either way and you would be correct either The accident was on private property, insurance is going to handle it either way.

I had an 18-year-old kid running to the back of my car. I handled it exactly the same way. The mothers insurance took care of everything and there were no problems. The claims adjuster even thanked me for handling it the way I did and not calling the police.
One of the things I did do, is that I got the kid on video saying what happened -- he dropped his phone. I did this just in case he tried to lie later.

This! Gonna cost a lot to fix this wreck. Frame could have been bent as well. Car may have a lot more issues in the future because of this. Make sure you have everything looked at before signing off and i mean everything since insurance will be handling the bill.

It's a unibody car and doesn't have a frame under it. it's a front wheel drive and doesn't have a conventional axle in the rear.
Perhaps a bent A-arm or other suspension part causing wheel to be pointing crooked-not bent frame or axle. This does NOT appear to be catastrophic damage;however,I would need the car in front of me to say with certainty.

If it was a 46 year old black man who did it, would you have called his wife to come pick him up and not call the police an all that good stuff?
If I were a parent, I am not sure if I would want it to be handled that way. My mom used to tell "if you get in trouble, I am not going to bail you out". She met literally and figuratively. If she was that girl's parents she would have seriously told you to call the police.
But either way, when you are the one not at fault, you want a police report son. Her parents might have been nice, she is just a poor ole 22 year old girl.. but frick that, she was drinking and driving and ran into and did damage to your vehicle. You got to do what's in your best interest because that's how the other side will handle it.

You let a drunk driver get a free pass. She could have killed somebody. Luckily all she did was hit your sons car. You should have called the police.

In case no one brought it up, if you do have frame damage make sure you ask for diminution in value from the insurance company. A friend of mine got $5k in addition to getting his car fixed.
