Pretty quiet in Broadmoor. Crazy thunder and lightning woke me up, but it passed. I hear some rain, but that’s it now.

We all probably didn’t wake up until it passed by anyways.
I was right near a small tornado a few years ago and never got an alert on my phone. First one I've ever experienced close up. It passed maybe 200 ft from me and it's certainly an unmistakable sound.

Small feature south of Denham. Not sure if they warn this but it looks better than the other one haha

That’s crazy. I’m not far from there and we didn’t have hardly any wind. There aren’t any tree limbs or debris in the yard at all.

Didn't know it had happened until it was over. The joys of being hearing impaired - if I'm sleeping really well and my good ear is buried in a pillow, I won't hear much of anything...even a tornado
I can usually say the same, but not today.

About 5 seconds later I thought “oh, boy... this might be a freaking tornado.” A couple minutes after it all passed, we got a warning.
I'm not far from y'all and it came right near here too. My daughter came out of her room and asked me if we needed to get in the hall closet.
My wife slept through it all.

There’s some broad rotation south of Denham Springs and a tighter feature in northeast EBR Parish.

I was already up. Scared the hell out of my wife as per usually (no pics).

If you look at the super res correlation coefficient you can see the tornado path

All us Westminster folks should get together sometime

Also in Westminster. That was the most “immediately intense” weather I’ve ever experienced.
My wife was freaking out at the constant thunder and I was trying to calm her down when suddenly it was raining so hard and the wind was blowing so hard that we couldn’t hear each other and the power went out. Small debris started hitting the window. She asked “is that a tornado?!?” and I said “nah, we didn’t get any kind of warning.”

Westminster here too, and experience was the same (minus the wife being scared, she slept until the tornado warning).
I have never been as scared by a storm as when this passed through. The warning came and the wind was howling and rain was so loud I couldn't hear myself think. I thought "this might be the end"
Then it just stopped.

Can see a snapped tree in neighbors front yard
I thought I heard a really loud snapping sound that didn't sound like thunder. Wonder if that was close enough that I could hear it?

My wife and dog is sacked out. I went outside to check things out and came back and said a tornado might have come through and she went “mhmgmfph” and rolled over.

I heard what I thought might be a small tornado but couldn't see anything. Dog was going nuts.
you could climb a tree to get a better look.

Let me just say local NBC really sucks. Their weather woman doesn’t even know the names of popular roads, only the numbers. And she has no concept that Comite is not a town, but a neighborhood.
She needs to study a local map and drive around the area.

I went outside to see if I could hear/see anything but it was raining so hard that's pretty much all I could hear. Didn't consider climbing the live oak in the yard

Nice and dry over here in New Orleans

I live in between Denham and Walker and it was constantly thundering for a good 10-15 minutes. I knew this storm wasn’t like any other storm. It was pretty insane.
