The golf club story is one that may have been blown out of proportion. Both he and his mother explained it was an accident when she walked up behind him in the middle of his backswing. It was 1 blow, not a beating.
And what about the foreign dna under her fingernails? Same dna as in her underwear.

She could have touched someone and then touched her underwear when she went to the restroom.

why do you have JonBenet aged as an avatar?
My avatar is actually not Jonbenet aged, but a young lady I know whose resemblance to her at that time often caused stares or comments. She once asked me, "Why does everyone look at me?"

They were all weird. His dad had way too much to lose financially. I don't see him worried if his son did it. A good lawyer would have cleared a 9 year old. Only a complete physco kills a kid then makes up that story.

I think John and Patsy thought she was dead. Her breathing and pulse would have been extremely shallow. I think they used the rope to make everyone think a stranger murdered her and sexually abused her. I know it is seems crazy, but John's oldest daughter died two years previously, JonBenet was dead, and Burke would probably be locked up for in a juvenile mental health facility for years if this got out. They acted out of desperation.
I also think they were probably planning to get her body out of the house, but then didn't have time so they improvised and hid her in the basement. They were getting on a plane that morning to head to MI. If they didn't show up and then JonBenet was found to be missing, they would be the first suspects so they made it look like an intruder kidnapped her.

That is Lou Smit who was truly an excellent investigator, but I think he missed the mark here. He was a man of faith who connected with the Ramsey's on a spiritual level. He didn't feel John and Patsy did it which is actually true if Burke was the culprit. I think they were both anguished and distraught over her death, and he sensed that.
When it comes down to it, this was a kid who likely hit his annoying little sister, but the situation went horribly wrong. I think John and Patsy also worked hard to convince him that there was an intruder and that his actions didn't cause the situation. As weird as it seems, I feel compassion for the Ramseys. Patsy seemed like an exhausting person to be around, but she and John loved those kids and found themselves in a situation that they didn't know how to handle. They couldn't save their daughter, but they could try to save their son.

The evidence has eliminated the brother, and the rest of the family. It was a random act by some psychopath. The brother didn't wake up one night, kill his sister with a garrote, plant a stranger's DNA, then turn back into a non-killer for the rest of his life.
People have been blaming the family for decades, but only because that's easier than actually looking at the evidence.

You have obviously never read anything about this case. No one is saying he garotted his sister and planted DNA. Plus, the DNA that was found was touch DNA. It could have come from anywhere. It was such a tiny fragment of DNA that they can't even do a full sequencing on it. Most of us who have been to a store or to work today probably have someone else's touch DNA on us. From touching a door handle or grabbing a grocery cart.

I've read enough to know that a 9 year old didn't use a garrote to strangle his sister, or that his parents found the sister with a head injury, and decided to stage a rape/strangulation in order to keep a 9 year old from the death penalty. You people who buy this nonsense are really, really stupid people. The only accusations that the family was responsible for the murder have come from the media. The MEDIA. It's all Fake News and you suckers bought right in. Dumb.

Actually you're wrong about most everything you said. Go read the Bonita papers.

You’ve never watched ID Network, have you? You watch long enough, you’ll realize that fricked out shite happens all the time.

You mean the evidence of both parents changing their story about that night? First John carried JonBenet to her room from the car because she was asleep then it changed to he read the kids a story. We know she was up after they got home from the party because she had the pinnapple in her digestive tract, the same pinnapple from the bowl on the table that had Patsy and Burkes finger prints on it. No forced entry and the opening in the basement had a spiderweb over the grate so it wasn't used. Then whoever ( Patsy most likely) wrote the ransome letter knew John just got a Christmas bonus if $118,000. This was a man with millions why ask for exactly $118,000. Some of the Ramseys closet friends now no longer speak to them. They knew them best. The police screwed the investigation due to incompetence.

It’s fiction. Fake News generated by media types that sell narratives in spite of facts. Do you really believe this was done by a 9 year old? Multiple investigators have concluded it was an intruder, which is supported by DNA evidence. The DA agrees, investigators agree, judges agree; the only institutions that have blamed the Ramseys are the media, and they have all had to settle libel suits out of court to the amount of millions.
I guess you also believe what CNN reported about the Covington catholic kid.
