Because that poster is an idiot. If you read Lou Smit's assessment of the Ramsey's, he himself talked about how the Ramsey's were people of faith like he himself. That isn't made up. I think Lou Smit was a great detective, but other great detectives and experts disagree with him.

Now look at the facts. At some point on Christmas night, a stranger supposedly came in through a tiny basement window that was only a few inches deep without disturbing spider webs on the window sill (Lou Smit fit through the window, but he is a very slight man). The person knew the Ramsey's 10,000 sf home well enough to go straight to JB's room and kidnap her without making a sound or causing her to wake-up and scream. He fed her pineapple from a bowl that had only Patsy's and Burke's fingerprints on it once again without making any noise. At some point, he hit her in the head with enough force to cause an indention in the skull. That indention happened to match a Maglite flashlight that the family kept downstairs which happened to be wiped of fingerprints. He then formed a garotte using Patsy's paintbrush from the basememt. He then hid her body in a hard-to-find storage room on the basement that the Ramsey's friends had no idea was even there. At some point after hitting her, he cleaned her up and redressed her. He also just happened to find a new pair of size 12 girls' underwear from a Christmas package for Patsy's niece that was downstairs in the basement which just happened to match JB's own underwear she was likely wearing that night (they were day of the week underwear). He then found her favorite blanket from the dryer upstairs and wrapped her in it (her Barbie nightgown was stuck to it). Somehow fibers from Patsy's red sweater and John's wool shirt that they happened to be wearing were that day were found on her body, in her vaginal area, and embedded in the garotte. Luckily for the kidnapper, none of his DNA or clothing fiber was. He then grabs a yellow legal pad and a Sharpie from the kitchen and begins a ransom note. He didn't like the first version so he ripped off the piece of paper and started again. He then proceeded to write the world's longest ransom note (literally) while making his handwriting look so much like Patsy's that she is the only suspect that couldn't be excluded. He also just so happened to use phrases and words she was known for (such as hence) and asked for the exact amount of John's Christmas bonus of $118,000. He did all of this without leaving any evidence or making any noise. He then supposedly left the note on a back staircase that Patsy just happened to use every morning to get downstairs.

All of those things rule out a stranger and most of those things rule out even close friends. Who sneaks in a home to kidnap a kid and doesn't even bring their own paper for a ransom note? Who would kidnap a kid to sexually assault her and then leave the body in the basement? If there was an intruder, he would literally have to be both the dumbest and luckiest person alive.
