I definitely didn’t catch it the first time through, but I’m pretty sure you’re right. My bad

I’m female, so my jokes are automatically not funny.
Does no one not have any fun anymore?

Shouldn’t have tried with 8 inches, since that’s never come up

Getting something like that up is likely to cause lightheadedness.

The "Weather" people were absolutely clueless on this system. During the week, they were saying, "It won't be as bad as last weekend".
A retired TV meteorologist this week put a blast on Facebook about the current crop of meteorologists and how they drifted away from showing you satellite imagery and explaining how the weather pattern is developing. Every thing now is computer models and the forecasts change in the blink of an eye or are so long term they are merely an educated guess by a computer. And they parrot what the computer tells them.
He even blasted one TV station that is paying top dollar to a marketing firm to get the title of most accurate weather cast, yet except for their chief meteorologist that retired not along has been a carousel of different meteorologists (one of whom made it on here for an incident at Gretna Fest). He said that his station was approached by the same firm wanting $$$ and they turned them down because they knew they were a scam.

My daughter’s car in Parrain’s parking lot had about 3 inches of water in it.

Local guy on 9 said 1-3 inches with isolated hit spots of 5”

I’m off Highland at Bluebonnet. I have 14” in the rain gauge since Friday.

Yes really. We were drenched last weekend and have gotten saturated this weekend. This is how droughts are ended. This isn’t to say we won’t go back into drought conditions but for right now the last 2 weekends have totally wiped out drought conditions in Southeast Louisiana.
After last weekend there was still Extreme Drought in SE Louisiana. This will help, no doubt, but it wont wipe out the drought entirely.

Getting 10” in a couple days will definitely end a drought.
Posted on 5/9/26 at 7:39 pm to ell_13
SWLA could’ve used some of that SELA rainfall. 3 inches in the rain gauge last week, only 2 inches this weekend.

And just like that, Southeast Louisiana’s drought was solved. Thank you, God.
Now crawfish farmers will say the crawfish drowned and prices have to go up
