Deutsche is the butt of a lot of Wall Street jokes these days no one takes them as serious anymore and their best talent keeps jumping ship.

Now back to the point, most people are paying for that “privilege” through higher utilities, need for larger spaces, paying for internet, buying more home technology, etc. Meanwhile, assuming the company doesn’t have to babysit their employees, saves on office spaces and associated costs.

Well and some of those larger corporations are allowing others to use the space so they can write off the rent.

For instance, Humana here in Louisville is allowing Jefferson County Public Schools to use their Waterside offices so they can provide tech assistance, ECE assessment, and ESL services in a centralized location big enough that they can social distance. And Humana won't lose a dime over it.

How much money do you voluntarily donate to the IRS?

We should tax Deutsche Bank for a little over their charged fees for accounts for the "privilege" of holding our money for us (with rules against passing the charge onto consumers). I wonder how much money we could raise that way.

See Deutsche Bank, I can find creative ways to raise money too.

There will already be a tax on these workers. In the form of lower pay. Companies are not going to pay people the same amount when they work from home unless they are a superstar.
Not sure how many times this has to be covered.

If you work from home, chances are that you make less than people working in a large city performing the same job from an office. But, it's also likely that you make more money than someone working from an office in a rural area.

I work from home (even before the virus), and this is the case in my field. I received a raise going from an office in NO to remote work.

People have had to change what they do due to Covid. Companies that try to screw the little guy because of Covid changes have not fared well.

DoucheBank should have to pay extra to those working from home. There are extra utilities and gear to cover. There is also a loss of square footage for their home life. How much does the bank save by not providing an office, air conditioning, etc.?

I always got out of this that it meant more "work as hard as you can and make your piece of the country as good as you can"

Not fork over more tax dollars to an endless bureaucracy that helps less and less and takes more and more as the years roll on.

If this were to come up for a vote every law maker that hits yes should be drug out into the street and shot. Why should i be taxed from the government for something my employer requests that i do?

What the frick?

This is ridiculous. In the right situations (which apply to MANY jobs), WFH is such a positive for both sides. First, it saves the company overhead. No more investing millions into your offices to keep your employees happy. Or at least it will be done on a smaller scale because less employees will be there. Employees are also more willing to work a little extra if need be since they don't have a drive home to worry about.

Employees are often equally as productive, if not more in a WFH setting (not true everywhere but for those that want it and their job can naturally be done remotely, it certainly is). They are happier. They feel as if they have more control of their life and more free time since hours of their day aren't spent in a car. It saves them money on gas. I can go on and on.

Why tax this? I'd immediately leave any company that wanted to do such bullshite.

It's all about more money and power for governments. They act like it's transfer of wealth to low income individuals but the truth is many companies have already stated that work from home employees will take a pay/salary cut. So not only do you take a pay cut but your cut pay gets an additional tax levy because socialist governments want more of your money.
