These landlords should just pull themselves up by their bootstraps. Get a second job if necessary.

Maybe they could deliver pizzas at night?

Either way, they're going to be eating beans 'n rice, rice 'n beans for a while here.

Although I am sure that there are some scumbags that live in some of this dude's places, he is a total scumbag slum lord who deserves what he gets from all of this. I used to have a disabled client who lived in one of his places. The rent was always paid on time and the place was kept very clean. They had a leak so bad in his apartment that mushrooms started growing out of the carpet (I never knew it was possible until I actually saw it with my own eyes). The people assisting the man called the office about 20 times and they didn't do shite. They brought a fan out and put it on and left it there.

The only thing that forced them to do something is that someone came out to inspect the place and the condition failed the inspection. Dude looks like a movie scumbag character that people would laugh at.

The circumstances here are different.

If this was a normal situation in which the tenant has obviously skipped paying, I'd agree.

But if the tenant was fired by COVID 19 related problems, its best to just wait it out.

I agree with the complaint that if the tenant didn't pay BEFORE COVID 19, They should pay at least up to the amount owed before the order.

Another free-market economics believing landlord on the federal dole.
$855/mo for a slum apartment doesn't seem like fair market value; and if that's section 8 pays, it's ridiculous.

she has money to rent hotel rooms, but can't pay her rent?

I’m not defending her, but she may be paying for a hotel room with a credit card that likely will not be paid back

Not all landlords are the same and sometimes it's the scumbag tenants, but deadbeat has more than one meaning and the landlord in this case is a deadbeat. He's a total scumball who deserves whatever chaos he is experiencing right now.

Why would that be so urgent?
