That sucks. Fun fact...she was David Spade’s sister in law.

Too bad he was probably unaware of the issues she and his brother were dealing with. Im sure he couldve dealt her an inspiring speech.

Not sure, but to me that's not really normal behavior to change your name to that of your new company.

Valentine was apparently a family name, as was Frances.

I'm sure she might have been trying to catch lightning twice, but the name change was a good was to separate herself from the original brand.

Apparently the suicide letter addressed to her daughter said to “ask daddy”?

That's what they said about D'Angelo until McNulty got involved. Kate may have been taken out by Avon or Mary Kay.

Using a doorknob works. Robin Williams did the same.

It’s simple. They tie the scarf to the doorknob with a loop in the other end. Put the loop around the neck and sit down. Body weight pulls you down and tightens the loop cutting off air until the person passes out and slumps forward. When the body goes limp and all the weight goes into the loop, lights out.

ETA. She had a 13 year old daughter. Depression or not, knowing you are going to mess up your kid for life should keep anyone from killing themselves.

Zero fricks to give. Leaving your young child on this planet willingly ranks pretty fricking high on my piece of shite list.

One possibility I haven't heard mentioned is: maybe she was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness and didn't want to be a bother to her family.

This is making the assumption that someone is in a healthy mental state when they decide to kill themselves. Most who do, think their family will be better off without the burden of them and their mental illness.

I feel like the "just don't do it crowd" it sometimes the same folks who suggest you can knock out a little depression by taking a walk in the woods or something.

Uhh.. back off. He said "not to be an arse" before he said the shitty follow-up.

It's in the Geneva Convention.

My purse is the back of my phone that holds my license and bank card. Never owned a "handbag" much less a name brand one, but suicide is a reminder at how this country wants to ignore depression and mental illness. That being said, I heard her letter told her child/children (?) "This isn't your fault, ask your father." WTF?

ETA I think a lot of people who commit suicide think they are doing their loved ones a favor.
