If I want stuff, I buy it (I don't). Such a frivolous purchase would piss me off. I would prefer a card, dinner and sex. Actually, the card is useless. Feed me and frick me.

I briefly dated one with high maintenance tendencies. We broke up after I snuck off to the 2005 Chik fil A bowl and was supposed to do some artsy thing with her. She was married to a surgeon before me and married a guy who lives on Mercer Island after we split.
My drinking and philandering ran off a few awesome women though. Amazing how we do that to ourselves

I'd prefer a weekend trip myself. I value experiences far more than stuff.
