I can’t imagine the black in the heat. Or maybe it’s not that hot in Hawaii right now?
Anyway, I usually were a fishing shirt (OT uniform) either long sleeve or short, wide brim hat, shorts, and lots of sunscreen when outside. I consider myself pretty cautious, but these guys seem to be extremely cautious.

White people are not meant to be in Hawaii, AZ, NM, TX etc.

I read this several times waiting for this person to finish their thought. Imagine thinking the sun.. yes?

If you are going to be in the sun for a long time then I don't see the problem. The sun.
I know a few old people who do not go in the sun at all without sleeves and a big hat. One of these people always says "when we were young, we didn't know anything about the sun and that it could give you cancer". She has had some issues with that.
People who have fair skin, they need to be careful with their skin. Plus, I don't care what people decide to do with their body when its in the sun.

It's preposterous to think the sun is bad for you. It's in fact vital to good health and healthspan.
Of course if you have no choice but to OVERDOSE on the sun, then it might help to cover yourself up so as to avoid overexposure.
But there is evidence that sunscreen use causes more problems because it leads people to overexpose. If you aren't "protected", then you are more likely to take yourself out of the sun periodically (and rationally) so as not to overexpose.
And nobody wants to hear this, but there is evidence that seed oils make it worse. Anecdotally, there's a guy I work with that went whole hog on completely cutting them out of his diet. He now frequently plays golf all day with no protection and shows zero sign of sunburn.

I don’t blame you for wanting to get out of there. Arizona is probably one of the best states for outdoors activities. Sedona would be my preferred retirement place but homes there are absurdly expensive
LA has some really nice areas but its pretty much a terrible place to live if you’re an average joe

Oddly enough I’ve never met a cautious doctor. Lots of thrill seekers and riverboat gamblers.

Eh, this is low on the list of shite I would care about. They can cover up and avoid the sun if they want, no bother to me.

This is so dumb. Try staring at the sun and tell me the “source of all life on earth” can’t be bad for you

It's equiveant to saying that drowning isnt possible because water is required by all living things.
