But he gets a pass because everytime Nelson asked if he called Chauvin a cuss word he looked over to Chauvin and said “I did” after each word. That was pretty dang

How exactly does 1 get a pass for committing perjury because he acted like a child or as you think " a baller"?
In fact you thinking that he was a " baller" says alot about your character.

How many stores were destroyed just last night

Maybe he meant “states” that are destroyed.

60% guilty? Well that means hung jury/mistrial.

I interpreted it as him saying that there's a 60% chance that all 12 will agree to convict up to this point. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I must have missed that was it as bad at the Mma fighter the prosecution had on the 1st week that testified under oath he was not angry and then on redirect from the prosecution he said he was angry.

Ya know guys, the difference of opinion in this thread is probably indicative of what will be going on in that jury room. I’m still thinking a hung jury mistrial.

Hung jury and mistrial is the best I think Chauvin can hope for.

I’m sure there are people on the jury that can’t get passed the first bystander video that was released.

Just wait until they leak the names of the few who are holding out. Then it really gets interesting.

Just watched the full 30 min body cam footage.

GF was higher than giraffe pussy before the cops approached him in the car. Once they opened the door, he knew he was caught and I believe based off how he was acting, he slipped into a drug induced episode.

Before Chauvin showed up, the other officers were having trouble with him yet being more than reasonable with GF to get into car despite his claustrophobia and anxiety.

He kept saying “I need to tell you something”, I think he was trying to tell the cops he was about to overdose, but was already in the process/high as frick and couldn’t get the words out.

Once he was on the ground, something caused him to quit breathing (I think heart attack) but it wasn’t Chauvin on his kneck. He was doing as trained until EMS relieved him.

Even if convicted, it will go to appeals.

I found it meaningless as that same witness cant tell the difference in resisting and trying to breath.

The witness wasn't perfect but certainly made in clear that his opinion was Floyd was still resisting on the ground. That didn't get challenged effectively by prosecution.

Pretty sure this is a routine motion at the close of the evidence. They are almost never granted.

He can make a motion for whatever he wants. The judge is not throwing the case out in the middle of the trial.

They're already rioting, so might as well get it over with.

I’m spitballing here but why would a defense attorney motion for this if the chances were slim?

It seems like the optics to the jury of having the judge deny it are worse than the 1% chance he accepts it.

Does the jury not see the motion?

no - they don't see the motion...and haven't seen any of the others so far. these are usually done first thing in the morning or maybe right before they come back from lunch break.

Thanks for answering, I wasn’t sure. Still seems like a bad idea in a case like this when the jury isn’t sequestered unless he thinks the chance is higher than average
