HLN is pretty darn balanced today all things considered.

Just tuned in but heard multiple pundits say this was an evisceration.

a couple of the defense attorneys are laughing.

Court TV just said " Nelson has neen masterful in turning the prosecution witnesses into his own".

I wonder what Doug Sensari is saying today?

Last week he was saying the prosecution was winning 31-0 in the 4th quarter

Here is the thing anyone that has watched Law & Order knows that the prosecution should have objected due to leading the witness but these idiots not only ignore it they allow the jury to hear it without arguing it.

Fyi i couldn't stop laughing as I re-read this.

Was it during cross examination? Leading is not only acceptable during cross, every question on cross should be leading, if they're doing it right.

If the defense is cross-examining, he is allowed (encouraged) to lead. I'm not watching the trial, so if the prosecution has rested and it's the defendant's witness, my apologies.

The State has objected to Nelson leading other witnesses on cross and a couple have been sustained.

It was during cross but the witness said he couldn't understand what was said but Nelson responding by saying thats what it says leaving the jury with the impression that it is fact and the prosecution let it ride.

Yeah that scenario is frowned upon.....attorney essentially providing narrative, as opposed to questions of the witness only.

That was beautiful especially as how he didn't press to get witness to agree. Witness wasn't going to agree, but members of jury heard it and damage was done.

this frick stick is doing all kinds of mental gymnastics to avoid agreeing with Nelson. Nelson's tearing him apart.

The best thing I think Nelson does is say right or agreed after every question even the meaningless ones. As such, you can't as easily tell when he is wanting a very limited answer or shutting down the witness trying to explain an answer. Sometimes the right or agreed sets them up for something later or just makes the witness look argumentative.
