I actually feel bad for Jody.

I missed some of that testimony, but did the witness just say he had presented a seminar at a conference titled "Awful but Lawful"?
I missed the title of the conference but he did say that he gave a presentation at a conference about how actions can look bad but still be lawful or per policy.

Yep, idea being that use of force looks bad to the public but is totally acceptable.

My lord, Nelson is GOAT level when it comes to cross examination. Send him to GITMO and he could get anything out of the most fundamental terrorist without laying a finger on anyone.

I got that part but wasn't sure if the witness said he presented it or just attended it.
WOW. Seems like the prosecution would have done some background work on their expert and then found a different expert or at least tried to inoculate the jury to that in direct.

He is so calm and slick the witness has no idea he is actually being led to slaughter.

Damn, Nelson definitely does his homework.

Wait who called the sidebar?
the judge - it was very quick and he was probably asking if now would be a good time for a morning break.

Agreed. The bigger note is that this is the first time this "expert" has been paid to testify in court either at state or federal. The fact that the state even hired him to begin with is shocking. I wonder if he was first choice or how many others experts turned them down or didn't provide the desired opinion.

That was interesting replay of the judge and the prosecution. Seems the judge is pissed that the prosecution has so many attorneys that it could be unfair to the defense.

I'm starting to wonder if the reason they went out of area for most of the prosecution team is because the local prosecutors looked at the evidence and didn't want their name attached to losing " the case of the century ".

I just tuned in so I missed all that. Unbelievable.

Court TV just said " Nelson has neen masterful in turning the prosecution witnesses into his own".
With the media now praising Nelson and questioning the prosecution I expect the threat rhetoric to start getting louder.

Court TV is talking up how good Nelson is doing, even saying he is doing a "masterful job." Their tune has really changed this week.

This will probably be his last time testifying as an expert.

I'm pretty close to an expert on english.... what I heard was. I took too many pills. I'm not sure what else it could have been maybe, I did too many drills but since he's unemployed that wouldn't make much sense.... If you have a good grasp of english it's pretty obvious
