This is exactly why I don’t have any kids at LSU. When I was student we had 2 to 3 active serial killers and it was 1000 times safer. It’s time to hire the military police, and fence in the campus and close it off like they had to do Millsaps in Jackson. Baton Rouge is going to hell and going to take LSU with them for the ride.
This sleazy bar was called sports in my day. (Std capital of BR. )That said I used to be bartender in that area in the 90s, and we paid for a cab or had some employee drive someone home at least 2 to 3 times a week. And we always heard they just had one drink here, etc. it doesn’t matter ubers are dirt cheap, it’s inexcusable and they are definitely going to lose their license and be sued.
To have minors in your bar with an alcohol level that high is ridiculous, that is brain damage level. She had to be visibly intoxicated when she left the bar. Her poor parents may God be with them

So according to the defense attorney, a "coherent" white sorority girl walks out of a bar with black thug strangers then agrees to have sex with two of them inside the car while they give her a ride home....yeeeah...I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with him there...
Apparently she was also "coherent" enough to stand in the middle of a road and let an approaching car plow into her.

EXCLUSIVE: REVEALED - LSU student, 19, worked at the pub she was seen ‘drunkenly’ leaving with four men charged with raping her: Madi Brooks seen behind the bar at Reggie’s – which offers free cover for Greek sorority girls
LINK
quote:
The teenager was a regular patron of the pub, and sometimes worked behind the bar with her LSU Alpha Phi sorority sisters.
quote:
Her sorority wrote on Monday: 'Madi was a bubbly, loving, and selfless friend. She left an indelible mark on our chapter, we cherish our memories together and we will never forget her. Our forever friend was also a hero, Madi donated her heart and kidneys to save others'
First, nobody under 21 should be allowed to enter a bar. It's inviting exactly this situation.
Second, she certainly didn't have a liquor license to sell alcohol as she wasn't of age to drink it.

WAFB with a new story on Reggie's:

He says currently in Baton Rouge, bars can have two violations of serving to underage drinkers a year. Then they just pay a fine and the board basically never sees them again. But now, he wants to change that.
“And we currently have requirements that if there’s three or more violations in a year, they have to come to the board, but not necessarily two or fewer. So that’s one of the restrictions we’re going to look at putting in and saying if you’re ticketed more than once in a year you’ve got to come see the board,” said Wilfong.

My greatest fear in this whole thing is the fact that this son of a bitch will pick a jury. Where do they get a jury?

Assuming all four tPOS go to trial without any deals being cut by the DA’s office, check out the demographics of EBRP and the voting constituents of Sharon Weston Broome. That should give you an idea of who will be on those juries.

There’s going to be deals cut.

It is a bit silly to have people in the bar that can’t actually drink. They aren’t really contributing any money to said bar. I can go either way on this.
21 and a cover plus dress code or 18 student Id and dress code and this type of crime is mostly eliminated.

How’d this place even make it after what they used to use for a stamp? I mean 2015 was awhile ago but searching this place and see the Reggin stamp
wow.

Yep once attention diverts off this. Deals will be cut.

Surely these fine scientists can't be the culprits here.

You seen Moore’s record? It doesn’t get that gaudy by risking trails. Deals always cut and war chest grows as city crumbles with crime.

Based on all of the known facts in this case, all 4 of these guys should & will do time.
However, you seem to suggest that it is unthinkable that a white, blonde sorority girl would ever willingly have group sex with multiple guys of a different race that she doesn't know very well. You must live a sheltered life.

The national media will beat this story like a dead horse. We will never hear the end of this, and may not want too.
No they won’t. The public’s attention span is a week long. Something else will happen and this story will be forgotten nationally. Locally, we’ll get a few follow ups to the actual criminal investigation, but they’ll quickly switch the focus to underage drinking, college binge drinking, and somehow turn this into a story about how all men are bad and preying on women. Instead of focusing on the 4 men who actually preyed on this woman. And they’ll totally ignore the bigger story on crime in BR and how the Lack of leadership has been conducive to events like this. How much have you heard about Allie Rice other than here? Don’t expect it to change with this tragedy.

National attention span isn’t long unless it’s a black person killed justly or unjustly by a person in authority or a pretty white girl gets killed. It goes a bit longer in those cases.

Can we please just recall Broom and her dipshit police chief?
Didn't Broome force the white Police Chief out because she didn't think he was effective in bringing down the number of murders in the city?
Begs to question...was it due to his performance or due to his white skin?

Yes it is unthinkable given the facts of this case dumbass

I wouldn't say it's silly from a college bar's standpoint. Half of college kids are under 21. People want to go and hang out with friends (who may be under 21).
However, it's pretty much impossible to control who is drinking if you let under 21 in. Even if the bartenders card or look for wristbands, they'll just have their 21+ friend buy it for them.
