Depression sucks. Had another high school friend commit suicide.

What the hell is going on in their heads?
Seriously, not flaming. I have had two cousins commit suicide and I still can't figure it out.

Life is life. If you need help, get it. Or, scream out to someone who will listen till they help you.

While I won't claim to know anything about the OP's story, social media often gives people a false image of their friends' lives, and their life, in turn doesn't look as good.

Let's be honest, life in the USA is pretty good and we are pretty spoiled. Sorry for your loss though.

As someone who used to be involved with drugs, I've known a lot of people who have killed themselves either by OD or suicide. Many of the ODers pretty much did it as a form of suicide bc of depression. About 3 years ago I attended 21 funerals in a year, all of people 30 years old and below. It's just sad.

I wish there were better ways to combat it, but many are ashamed and don't want to admit it. I hope anyone who has depression seeks and is afforded the treatment they need/deserve.

I used to think they were selfish, but now I firmly believe they can't see past their pain. Not selfish, but trying to eliminate the bad shite in their head. If you have ever had issues with depression or anxiety you might know how this feels. Even with meds, people don't/can't see past the issues that consume them. Literally.
