So what you are saying is let's just give everyone that suffers from depression a free pass when they end it? I had a best friend from high school whom I am still very close lose his 17 year old son to suicide this past January and his wife and him suffer everyday not knowing why he killed himself. They were loving parents, he was about graduate, had a great girlfriend. He went in his room closed the door and pulled the trigger. I am at a lost I am both angry and I guess uninformed but this has to stop.

Jesus Christ. After the first 2 or 3, I don't think I could keep going.

Her poor kids.. Well I know it is tough on her husband as well, but I couldn't imagine if this would have happened to one of my parents especially as a teenager.

That sucks, man. I have a son that's almost 3, and I don't know what I'd do if something were to happen to him. Having dealt with my own personal addiction, I'm not sure how I would deal with it. I can't think about that, though. I just have to bust my arse to be the best possible father I can be for him, and give him everything I can.

Not even fricking close to what I said.
Suicide sucks no matter who it happens to. I was saying that we don't know what/why this happens. I don't give two shits about some clinical explanation. The only ones that really know are the ones that are gone and damn if we can't ask them after the fact.

If someone decides to end it, that is their own decision. Not yours, not mine. Yeah, it fricking sucks, but if you can't stop em, you want to suffer the rest of your life?

Oh, and like I said, I have been affected by this too. Doesn't make it any easier.

These people that commit sucicide are selfish. If you are that fricking depressed get rid of the guns, get some meds, go seek counseling

I love how people like you come into every thread like this and spew the same nonsense. Many people that kill themselves sought some sort of help before. Mental illness is a sickness, they aren't making a rational decision, so stop trying to analaize it as such.

Sorry for your loss OP.

Lunch I get it everyone said they are depressed I don't understand blah, blah. It's just getting to the point now where it's an epidemic. What has changed from the past 20 years?is it social media? is it the anti depressiants actually contributing to the suicides instead of preventing them? I am just sad for the families left to pick up the pieces after the suicide.
