Everyone's a Democrat when offered free shite by the government.
Erstwhile conservatives cream their pants over stimulus and debt forgiveness.
30 Trillion in debt. We're turning into a banana republic and no one gives a shite.

It would be great if no one had to do that and people could focus on learning their passions instead. Would probably great for mental health

So will I get a $50,000 tax credit since I busted my arse to pay mine off?
Posted on 2/4/21 at 10:51 pm to John McClane
My kid's in school. Should I stop paying for it and have him draw out 50k immediately?
Sincerely,
A piece of shite

So glad I refinanced my loan to lower the interest so I could pay it back quicker....not.

My daughter starts college later this year, is she going to get a credit of $50K?

I have an idea.
Instead of just giving everyone in student loan debt give them options and longer payment deferral options so one has time to get started in life before paying:
Have more programs that allow one to Work a number of years in certain areas in certain jobs as rural development such as teaching or medical professions that are in demand.
Incentivize employers to help pay off employees’ student loan debt as a write off on their taxes.
One option, join the military, and get all the loans repaid with 5 years military service.
The last option is the extreme option and most penalizing to the individual because they may have no other option, but it may help them in the long run. Force them to file bankruptcy and allow a portion of the student loan debt to be dischargeable up to 50k.
In all these scenarios, there is still an obligation to pay, but offer relief in the form of work commitments, employer relief, or bankruptcy which if someone making 30k or a single mother with no job or income with large debts because they got stuck at the wrong school, they could use bankruptcy to hopefully right their financial ship because if the student loan is weighing them down other debts are too.

Since I've already paid off my loans, will I be eligible for a refund? They can't leave this group of people out!

My wife and I paid off our loans. Can we cash in on this racket?
Posted on 2/4/21 at 11:51 pm to lsu xman
fricking bullshite. I paid mine off but then again I’m a responsible adult that signed the note so I knew I’d have to pay it back
All these idiots that get the debt forgiven are going to do is run up more damn debt then whine about why it’s unfair they have bad credit and can’t get what they want

All the Democrats are trying to do is buy more votes. That's all any of this is. No one forces you to take out a loan, you can defer payments and you can get really cheap monthly payback plans that make it easy on you if you do take out loans though.
The Dems just want more votes. Same reason they are pushing $15/hr minimum wage suddenly. That's a lot of votes if they could get all of that stuff through.

Meh. You conservatives who bemoan the fiscal state of a nation that hates you are pathetic. Honestly, why care?

Whites. All white students will have to repay.
This is applicable even to white that majored in gay studies/journalism.

The plan would cancel all of the debt for 80% of federal student loan borrowers.
Women and people of color would be among the biggest winners.
And frick me in the arse for working and paying my shite off.
God damnit I'm not asking for my shite to be paid off but I damn sure don't want anybody else's paid off for them either unless they joined the military. This is such fricking bullshite.
