He will get it taken care of or Dave Portnoy can afford to buy him another if not.
Probably either dropped it or he had the screen wedge positioned against the back that made it susceptible to recline damage. Either way he should be liable.

Fine print says that Delta is not liable for person property damaged by another passenger.
If this laptop really is this guys "livelyhood" he probably should have sprung for Apple Care.
No sympathy here for the broken laptop guy.
Side note, man that laptop is hideous. Mainly the keyboard.

So the dumbass opened it and put the screen against the tray table holder?
Both of these things are true.

Broke computer somewhere else, blames Delta to have them pay to replace.

I was born and raised in South Louisiana. And they're AirPods. And I've cut way back on porn. It's not good for you.

That is impossible for that to happen to a laptop. That was broken before the seat did it.
Posted on 3/5/20 at 10:17 am to John88
How did this happen? Even if the chair hit the back of the MacBook with as much force a chair being reclined could hit it with, the screen in on tight enough where it shouldn't slam the screen down hard enough for it to break.
As we speak I am typing on a MacBook and have moved the screen up and down several times. I wonder what condition it was in before it was hit by the chair?
I just can't see how his screen got that messed up simply by someone reclining their chair in an airplane.

There is no way that kind of damage can come from someone reclining their seat 3 inches.
Posted on 3/5/20 at 10:24 am to Sun God
He probably had the screen tilted back where part of the seat pinched the screen cover down and the base did not slide. Yes, shite happens!
Posted on 3/5/20 at 10:26 am to Yewkindewit
That's because the base was pressed against his fat stomach
Posted on 3/5/20 at 10:31 am to OweO
the lip of the tray is resting on the top of the laptop screen so when a person leans their chair back, it pushes down on the screen from the top. Not good for a thin laptop screen. The laptop was not "slammed" down on. Pretty easy scenario to picture

Yep. He's the dumbass for wedging his screen under that lip.
