I know our LC folks might take offense to this, but this storm's landfall and trajectory is basically the best case scenario with respect to populations for an LA landfall.

LC is on the western side. Lafayette is far enough away to likely avoid the worst of it. There are very, very few people that live in extreme eastern Cameron Parish.

No offense taken, you are right. Still sucks for us because any little wind fricks us.

I already have on tarp on a ridge of the house flapping. I'll lose it by 5 almost for sure.

Had been NE but is slowly shifting easterly. But this isn’t shite. Not going to lie... the main concern is going to be rain. Period

I knew the Hwy 14 call outs would start the moment I posted it.

It's still the truth though. Cameron Parish is the least populated parish along the coast by a long shot, and anything coming up more dude north hits LC squarely. In this case it will land in Cameron and come up between Lafayette and LC. It's ideal in a shitty way.

I can't imagine there is a whole lot to report in 6 hour intervals after it hits land aside from a few storms

News just cut off my tennis match. The meteorologist basically said this storm is being destroyed by wind sheer and might have some strong gust in spots but delta is basically not a big threat.
