Got 114 kt FL and 91 kt surface unflagged by recon. Stronger than earlier. Pressure way down too. 958-960 conservatively since extrap has been way too low for most of this storm.

The extrap reading got down to 954.

Shear plus dry air opens it up just before landfall. Notably the pressure doesn't drop much even as the hostility gets to the core.

Winds don't drop a lot, but I'm looking at 850 mb. You'd imagine as the whole thing gets disrupted not as much of that wind would make it to the surface.

Storm looks out of whack. All the bad weather's on the left side.

Zach Fradella at FOX 8 did a FB Live where he mentioned that. It's like the trough that's picking it up will feed the northwest quadrant a bit.

Have an elderly family member in Eunice that doesn’t want to leave anyone from that area know if people are evacuating?

They didn’t get near the love nor per capita funding compared to New Orleans.

You talking about federal dollars?

You’re comparing Mississippi as a state to New Orleans as a city?

What infrastructure and flood protection programs did Mississippi need? Did they have levees that broke?

I’m failing to understand your comparison to where, what and how federal disaster dollars should have been spent.

You really are coming across as a dumb dipshit in this thread

Surface winds aren't there yet but this is a stronger storm than earlier. With 114 flight level, they might go with 100 kt (115 mph) at 4 pm for intensity. It'll at least be 110 mph and signs are it's at least not leveled off in strength yet.
