If it stays where it is, it will hit the most uninhabited part of the Louisiana coast. First effects probably won’t be until Gueydan and Lake Arthur, and they’re 30 miles inland. Not saying it’s a nothingburger, but definitely not worth all the WC hype.

If it winds down as quickly as they say it will, I doubt we’ll have much damage north of I-10. This one won’t be dropping trees in Alexandria and Monroe like Laura did.
