Wondering how far west it is gonna end up.

Between Lafayette and Lake Charles is what I would guess. Maybe closer to LC.

FWIW, Steve Cap just tweeted this for comparison. This is based on his forecast for BR.

You are ignorant and talking out of your arse and it is showing. I have been through many bad storms in my 56 years of living everywhere from Thibodaux (Betsy) , to NOLA (Camille) to BR (Andrew, Gustov) ... Gustov was definitely a rough one. You are very wrong.

So you were 2 during Betsy and 6 during Camille, and after riding out Betsy in Thibodaux y’all decided to stay for Camille in New Orleans?

I believe you, I’m just trying to make sure I have it right.

You were 1 when Betsy hit, you were on the east side of Camille and the other 2 storms you posted, didnt even produce Hurricane force winds where you were located.

I am not the one that is wrong....you are.

For the love of God can y’all just go make a Gustav/dick measuring contest thread and stay out of this one?

Where I work in new Iberia still hasn’t decided as of about an hour ago if they were going to shelter in place or evacuate.

That’s just nuts.

1992 was my 2nd year at LSU and the first hurricane I'd been in. Sure seemed like the wind was more than 70mph to me.

We moved to BR in August of
1993 — our neighbors were talking about Andrew and said that insurance companies basically just walked the sidewalks and wrote checks on the spot.

Times have changed.

For comparison, I've been here through every hurricane that has passed through here since 1952. You are as full of shite as a Christmas turkey.

thats my point, you thought it was bad arse because you dont know what hurricane force winds are. Look at the chart posted by WAFB, BR has never gotten true hurricane force winds.

BR bros wouldnt know what to do in a real hurricane. BR Privilege!!!

FWIW... the 10 PM update last night shifted the cone east of the 4 PM advisory

so that would make it at most a trend of 2

I didn't see what the 4 AM cone did today

I'm glad you lived through this harrowing second hand experience.

Always heard Andrew spun off a ton of tornados. I was really young, but one supposedly came right near our house according to all the old men who talked.

Remember the destruction vividly. Not sure if Andrew threw off more tornados than normal or something.

It’s continuously shifting west with each update. Possible to move back, but that would go against the trend.

Every single model except the cmc either shifted east or stayed the same on last runs
So NHC probably isn’t moving much
They were moving with the models and the models stopped shifting or came back east
