Worth it.
SkyPriority Boarding
Extra Legroom
Bigger Seats
Free Drinks all flight
Better food, free food on longer flights.
I get upgraded when I book my ticket. Would not fly Delta in the back.

You get sky priority for economy comfort? I thought you needed the Delta Amex for that.
No. My Delta Platinum only gets Zone 1 Boarding. Peasants are 2-3.
Diamond and First go first, the Platinum and SkyPriority, then Zone 1, then everyone else.

Flying from ATL to HON straight, the morning after our wedding.
I'm guessing you meant HNL (Honolulu, HI) and not HON (Huron, SD) for your honeymoon.
Not that there is anything wrong with Huron. I'd love to go blast some pheasants, but my GF would be pretty pissed if we did that for our honeymoon.

I look at the cost of upgrading to Comfort seats, add on the cost of checking bags, and if the difference between this and 1st class isn't much, I go ahead and book 1st class.

Used it to/from Barcelona/Paris this summer. Very much worth it. Get the two together on the side of the plane.

On a serious note, I've never had it. I always fly 1st. Not because I'm OT rich, but because I tell the companies I work with that I won't fly without it.
Hey good for you

like they force you to do on the commuter planes from BTR to HOU/DFW/ATL
I am almost always on an MD88, Boeing 717, or A319 between BTR and ATL. Nice, roomy planes with plenty of overhead space. Sometimes I'm on a CRJ-900 but even those aren't bad.
I hate getting stuck on the ERJ 135s, but I haven't seen one of those in BTR in years.

Hoyt thinks it would be worth it, since it is such a long flight.

I fly on the mainline Delta flight out of BTR every time. The 717 is a wonderful plane.
Last time I flew on a CRJ900 we were delayed for a while because of a cargo door problem then it sounded like the door was banging and trying to open the whole flight.

How much extra $ are we talking about?

For those who've used it. Worth it? Not worth it?
If you are over 6 feet tall it is worth it. I am 6' 3" and my legs are in the back of the seat in front of me in a regular seat, but a delta comfort seat I have plenty of room and I am very comfortable.

Why you mad, bro?
By the time I check all the bags I have to bring for equipment, offset that with the free 3 bags you get in 1st......the price difference ends up being pretty minimal.

I paid for it but only to keep my dtr seated by me. There were no 2 seats side by side available except in the Comfort Section. Think it was $25 for each of us. Couldn't chance not switching on a sold out flight.
