Worth it, IMO. Seats are more comfortable and you'll be in priority boarding.

Worth it for longer trips. Free drinks in Economy comfort seating. Lots more leg room.

Be sure to check upgrades on the morning of the flight. I upgraded from ATL to Rome for $656 a ticket a few months ago.

Upgrades to first class you mean? And is that something you can do the morning of as soon as you walk in the airport?

I didn't realize that there were people on the OT that didn't fly 1st. fricking amateur.

On a serious note, I've never had it. I always fly 1st. Not because I'm OT rich, but because I tell the companies I work with that I won't fly without it.

For sure worth it. The extra legroom and Sky Priority boarding are alone worth it, free drink(s) are nice as well.

You get sky priority for economy comfort? I thought you needed the Delta Amex for that.

What's the deal with priority boarding? I have not flown that much. But when I have, I didn't see a reason to want to board early.

If they have the seats available. The airline is gonna sell it for whatever profit they can get. Download their app and check it pretty often the last 12 hours or so.

The last 4 times I have flown Delta I was in Comfort Plus and had Sky Priority.

I hardly fly Delta, don't have the Delta Amex, and use my KLM FF# so I'm pretty sure it is a benefit of Comfort Plus.

Access to the overhead bins. And it is nice to get settled and board when the plane is relatively empty vs. the mad rush when Zones are called.

Not having to check your carry on. I'm OT poor and I have to check my carry on like 80% of the time

This is my limit. I don't personally think it's that much more room, but it is a bit.

Slight thread jack....

Any reason why they don't let you check/retrieve your carry on at the gate - like they force you to do on the commuter planes from BTR to HOU/DFW/ATL. That would completely eliminate the cluster of overhead bins filling up on the larger planes.

The commuter planes have overhead bins that are too small to fit your standard rolling bag. Gate checking there may eliminate the cluster on the plane but it creates another one on the jetbridge when they deliver those bags. The regional planes seat only 50-90 people. Imagine if 150-250 people were all trying to retrieve their carry on at once.
