I assume you are talking about the family that lets their dog run wild.

I really hope you don't think this way in real life.

Get rid of thoughts like that.

I like dogs as much as the next guy. But if I go to The Big House because I went to the extreme defending the honor of a dog, I deserve to be "celebrated" far & wide as a dumbass.

So the dog was just there and not attacking anyone? He just came in his yard?

Rumor on the delcambre streets is the dog was constantly in the mans yard not hurting anyone but making his beagles bark especially at night. It appears the two neighbors had a history.

Despite that finding, the dude should not have executed the dog and he is going to lose a lot because of this decision.

This motherfricker here.........

You are tremendous piece of shite so I'm gonna take what you say with a grain of salt.

The community of Delcambre is close knit and he was caught because locals wouldn't stand for this behavior.

Now go troll somewhere else.

If the owners of the animal would have kept their animal restrained this would not have happened.

This seems to have continued over a period of time and the owners do bear some responsibility and should also be charged.

Then can they prove the animal did not try to attack this man.

I think the POS is the owner who even admitted in the newspaper that he let his animal run loose to use the bathroom.

His animal would not have been shot if he would have kept him on a leash and walked him. He a lazy pos that again should be charged also under Louisiana law for failure to keep his animal restrained.

True. First thing I noticed from their Christmas cards were that “Wrigley” looked like one who could attack at any minute

100% agree. Both parties need to he charged with the max in a situation like this. I've been the person cleaning up my trash all over the street at 4am before work before. I never retaliated against the animal but after it happens to you every week for 6 months and the shithead owner won't correct the problem you have a different perspective.

Victim-blaming is bogus. Nothing this dog did warranted getting killed. The shooter is an evil psychopath and deserves jail time.

They got a weak case.

All the defendants lawyer has to ask is
- were you there sir?
No
- Why was your dog running loose?
Yes to let it use the bathroom

- Did you know this was a problem?
Yes
-In a news article you said you let the dog loose to use the bathroom?
Yes
- If you knew your dog had a problem getting loose why did you not do anything to stop this?
I did not think it mattered as I felt it was my neighbor’s responsibility to notify me of the problem.

- did you see the killing of you dog?
No
- was he restrained at the time of the killing?
No
- Was this the first time your dog was known to run loose?
No

To the defendants ask
- Did the animal try to attack you, your family members, or any animal on your property that was restrained?

All he has to say is the dog tried to attack me on serveral occasions and I protected myself while on my property as I feared being attacked.

- Did this happen before?
Yes, and the plaintiff admitted even in the newspaper that he let the dog out without supervision or restraint to use the bathroom which is against Louisiana law.

- Did the owner to your knowledge work with you to resolve the issue of his animal getting out?
No, and he admitted it in the newspaper.

After this the case will get tossed as the plaintiff and the parish do not have much of a case. Add different County or parish and I have seen it many times.

There are some circumstances where I would shoot a dog, but obviously this is not one of them.
