Wrigley’s body was found floating in a drainage ditch at the end of Country Drive Road, next to Landry Park in Delcambre. There was a gun shot to his head. The dog belonged to the Broussard family of Delcambre. It went missing last Thursday when Hollie Broussard let it out of the house so it could do its business. It never returned home.
quote:
“My husband talked to Mr. Edrick on March 24 and apologized for Wrigley running down to his house,” said Hollie. “He had every opportunity then to ask us to please do a better job of keeping Wrigley in our yard. He could have called the police or animal control. He did not have to do this
This dude is clearly a piece of shite for shooting a dog. But I do take issue with the dog owner taking no responsibility for the dog. And then of course this:

The Broussard family plan to file a civil lawsuit against LeBlanc for allegedly shooting Wrigley.

The Delcambre Reebok footprint matched what he had in his garage

They gonna let him wear his Reebok’s to prison?

Was it considered an essential employee?

He's got the best lawn on the block. And you know why? Because he trains his dog to crap in my yard.

We have a reasonable expectation that if the family dog escapes our neighbors will not just cavalierly shoot him because he can. Dogs have a special relationship with Man and it needs to be preserved. Take it up with the owner like a civilized person if you have an issue, don’t execute a dog for being true to it’s nature.

If you can’t handle a golden doodle running in your yard without shooting it in the head and dumping it in a drainage area you get everything that’s coming to you.
I hope he does jail time

100% agree but unless the dog is about to kill someone, shooting it is beyond reprehensible

Agree with all of the above, and would add that this guy is stupid if he thinks he’s solved his problem.
This is a dog family. They will surely get another dog.

What is cruel about shooting an animal in the head? It never felt a thing.

Taking the shooting out of it, I really wish people would keep their damn dogs under control and on their property.
Stop letting the dog be the decision maker as to where it's allowed to go. That is your job- and there's a great chance the dog will choose poorly.

dude, dogs run off. shite happens. That's why you call AC to come get the dog or get with the owners about managing their pet.
if the dog is a legit threat- like a threat to your family or your pet- I got no problem with shooting it. But you don't shoot the dog for simply coming into your yard.
This guy deserves to have his house burnt down while hes in court dealing with the charges.

Change the breed to pitbull and the OT would be cheering.
