Here's a novel idea. How 'bout secretly lacing the last meal with a deadly dose of fentanyl? Sure, it takes away the theater part of the execution, but saves time, and the murderer would be completely caught off guard.

Taking home this meal would be the least bad thing that prison guards do.
Prison guards are guys who couldn't even get a job at McDonald's. Like do you think that anybody would choose to guard criminals and search body cavities if they had any other job options? Most prison guards are felons who just haven't been caught yet.

There was a King of the Hill episode that comes to mind. Dale, Boomhauer, Bill, and Khan all came together and made all the dishes they would want at their last meal.
They then all bugged out before they ate it as to not jinx their continued existence.
