My parents’ neighbor won’t cut her grass, because she is “depressed” after being “hurt” in a fender bender. The grass is now waist-high. How would you deal with this? Talk to them about it or just go straight to the city? This is New Orleans city government we are talking about, so I fear it’s a lose-lose situation. She does not want anyone to see her cutting grass, because she is afraid someone will see she was not really hurt in the fender bender.

She refuses to find a job as well. She doesn’t work, because she got fired from Subway for not washing her hands before she made the sandwich, and “claims disability.”

When I lived in Lake Charles. I worked 28-29 days a month. I didn’t have time to mow mine. Some neighbor turned me in. Piss on them

You see... there are people who can do this for you if you pay them... Shocking, I know.

The difference here is this woman can mow her lawn, she just refuses. She doesn’t work, because she got fired from Subway for not washing her hands before she made the sandwich, and “claims disability.”

She’s depressed, someone showing some compassion and offering to mow it for her might make her feel better.

Wait till the grass dies in a month or so. Set it on fire. Get rid of grass and shitty, lazy neighbor.

Just make sure you know which way the wind is blowing.

Depressed after a fender bender? She should be thankful it wasn't worse.

Talk to her about it. High grass attracts snakes and rats.. If anything, just go tell her that they are really scared of snakes and that the high grass gives them anxiety and ask her to please cut it because it is affecting them (sometimes you have to relate to that person in some way. If she is depressed, maybe she can relate the something causing anxiety or some bullshite).

If she doesn't, call the city or pay a lawn service to do it.

They can also spray something to kill the grass that's near their property line. At this point, there is no point in worrying now.. Until March.. or April.

Depressed cause she got in a wreck? Horse shite. She’s lazy.

Bet getting off her arse and mowing the grass would be therapeutic.

Code enforcement has a chance to squeeze some money out of her for a fine, so the city might actually be willing to do something
