I once had male nurses that lived next door on both sides of my house. They both had a rotation of female nurses stopping by. I would pull up in my driveway and see a different chick on the porch than the one I saw two weeks earlier.

Your average pencil pusher in an office environment is getting me too'd which is a completely different environment than Doctor's and Pilot's work in. Its all about environment. In my mid twenties I had a neighbor who was a few years older and a young pilot. When he was in Atlanta he would invite the FA's over on weekends and we'd screw their brains out all weekend long. These women were wild. We'd frick them in the hot tub all over the house in the kitchen etc. basically looked like a porno set. I can remember in one night fricking 3 different ones. He told me this goes on all the time when he is on the road as well. It was crazy. He eventually got transferred out to Seattle or Minneapolis can't remember which.

Hahaha I wonder if we go to the same place. Yea I wouldn't look at it as THE way to find someone. The gym is for you first and if you get to talk to an attractive girl every once in a while its an added bonus. Crossfit gyms are always very clicky. Beware of weirdos and swingers. But there's still majority nice people.

Crossfit gyms (ahem, "boxes") are full of divorce/cheating drama. Crossfitters are nutty in general and their personal lives reflect it.

Pretty much sums up the ones I know of. Was a member of one for a year. I watched three different sets of people get divorced and end up dating people from the gym. Only one of them worked out long term

That's great and all if you want a temporary piece. Most chicks from the gym are cheating on their husbands or get around quite often as referenced by you post.
I'm not a huge fan of the gym scene. I do my working out at home, as I have land and property that keeps me busy and in shape as well.
If you rent an apartment and are living in a concrete jungle, you more than likely go to a gym.
Get in line with the other Betas if you want to chase women at gyms imo..

I feel like this was prevalent until 2010 or so. With social media/iPhones/me too I think it has died down a bit. The single docs still slay

This is 2024, not the 1990s. Video games are mainstream and accepted as cool now. It’s not just a nerdy dork activity anymore.
My 28-year old brother and his friends all play video games, and their wives are perfectly happy and ok with it.

Confidence #1 for sure, also pushing yourself to just say hello and something nice when you are out and see an attractive (and age appropriate) woman. The goal shouldn't be to start a long conversation with every woman, but to get comfortable approaching women without being creepy or too awkward.
#2, location matters. If I was single and 40 I couldn't live in a small town full time, just lack of options, and opportunities. Not saying you have to move to NYC, but a larger metro, even in the suburbs, will provide more options.,

It’s actually very realistic as long as you’re decent-looking and in decent shape. You most likely have your life together by now and are doing well financially as a 40-year old.
Women as young as early 20s are still going to be interested in you.

A lot of guys on here that grew up in the 70's and 80's will recommend this as a place to find nice women. In my church and from others experiences, this really isn't the case anymore. Most single women at my church are obese or "reformed" single moms.

The problem with dating over 30 as a whole is that everyone has their extra baggage at that point. Dating at 40 involves potentially older kids, divorces, etc.
I started dating my wife when I was 33 and married her when I was a month shy of 35. We are still married and have two kids. I'm 49. Prior to her I was a in a long term relationship that began in college and went south just shy of me turning 30. In between those times I dated a lot and it was hard finding the right person. I met my wife at work and we were friends for two years before we ever went on a date. She is also 6 years younger than I am. We met at work.
Be patient, don't force a situation just to be with someone. Understand everybody has baggage to some degree. Most importantly figure out what you want and don't settle. I'm not talking about the physical appearance stuff (that is important). I'm talking about the woman you need long term. Find five things that are deal breakers or things you must have in a partner. Then talk to friends and make sure you are being realistic. Then find someone with those qualities.
Church is not a bad place to look for a spouse for what it's worth.
