Being in NYC just makes it so easy. There's NYU, Columbia, Fordham, FIT, Hunter College, etc. Plus about 20 million people living in the metro area. Everyone here uses dating apps. Women here seem more sexually liberated, or at least openly so. Almost every woman I've dated in the last 6 months has been fine when I told them I wanted to keep it casual and that I would be dating other women.

Being single in NYC is the best.

facial aesthetics and height are of utmost importance

heck, there are entire forums dedicated to "looks theory" - check out lookism.net, for example - these sites are strictly dedicated to discussions on how to make oneself more physically appealing.

to even know that site exists is strange. are you really worried about your looks that much?

thats what men today are getting told repeatedly. then despite all that career and financial success the same ~10% of guys are still getting all the women.

this book gives false hope to many younger dudes, moreso than anything else.

"just wait until youre 30 and you can have any girl you want" - it doesnt work that way
He's right about places like NYC though. I can't have any girl I want but there are enough girls I want who I can get that it keeps me busy. I've had weeks with a date lined up every night and I had to start cancelling them. And again, I'm an average looking guy. I have three degrees and a great job, but I'm definitely not turning any heads

edit: I'm tall though, I guess that helps

not worried, more like self-aware of its importance

those sites i do not participate in, fwiw, but they are interesting to read occasionally

Also...if those men are going after those younger women...the younger women know they are hot and can be super picky as well. That thinking is what ends them still single in their 30s, they thought they had all the time in the world in their 20s and that the next guy that came along would of course be a better option "Mr Perfect" for them.

IMO if you spend a lot of time fixated on your own appearance, you're potentially undermining your confidence. It's important to have good hygiene and dress decently and take care of yourself, but it's not importance to maximize your potential. It's way more important to be confidence, interesting, and relatively successful.

As girls get older, they don't realize a man's value increases, while theirs decreases. That's why we can seriously date younger girls, and yall can only one-night-stand younger guys.

This is a ridiculous statement. Of course, there will always be both men and women that share this shallow mindset. Thankfully to the majority of the population, the shallow groups will find each other, and will live a short, blissful period of sex and ignorance with each other. Then, they'll break up, and start all over again. That'll will work until they get to the age where they're no longer attractive, and have developed no sense of love or appreciation for others, and they'll be miserable, lonely people until the day they die.

The truth of the matter is, all people, men and women, can increase or decrease their value, no matter what age. To think that women, as a gender, decrease in value as they get older is the epitome of immaturity. What you define as "value", is much different from the majority of normal, mature adults.

I get this 100%, but it's nice to not have to choke your own chicken every once in a while.

I'm in L.A., the land of perpetual adolescence. Dating out here is definitely different than anywhere else I've lived.

Not being a 6 foot hardbody with natural blonde hair definitely has its disadvantages

But, there is this great trailer park retirement village that I'm looking into. Fingers crossed.

sure, thats what they always tell men, "just be confident" - but it doesnt seem to work that way, under most demographics. NYC seems to be an outlier.

well you don't always go for the very top

find that insecure 19 year old ugly duckling who is about to bloom or whatever. i don't think many of the guys who are talking about this via experience are expecting to nail the top tier. the next one is full of good looking girls who are even more desperate, which is where you really see the effects of the deficits

see you are looking at this wrong

guys realize they can just run through girls. it's not about quality. it's about quantity. if a girl is looking for "mr perfect" then the guy moves onto the next

dont be delusional.

men are genetically programmed to desire young, chaste, fit women.

we have a visceral attraction to that type. in other words, its not something we can control, no matter what society says we should prefer or how you attempt to shame men for being "immature"

the 40 yr sagging, career women is just not as attractive as the 18 year old perky, waitress.

agree. looks can only get you so far. being able to actually talk to the opposite sex is the most important thing imo (assuming you have the regular qualities).

one of my friends was a model for a few years. hottest girls in the room would always find their way to him but he couldnt talk to them for shite. we used to laugh at how many hot girls would basically throw themselves at him and he was terrible with it
