regardless if he instigate or not. he was on a public roadway trying to drive.
1) had police cleared the roadway....this does not happen
2) had the police set up road block to drivers to give the "protester" their area....this does not happen
3) had the crowd not surrounded him.....this does not happen
4) if the deceased hadn't pointed a rifle at the driver.....this does not happen.
During the entire encounter, the driver was on a public right a way operating a motor vehicle in accordance to the law
how this even goes to trial should be the real question..... liberal Austin gonna liberal asustin.
and if a "jury of his peers" convicts him, the governor should commute his sentence before he has to serve one day or wait for an appeal......

Allegedly having a conversation about this scenario then having people attach your vehicle while someone approaches your car with a deadly weapon isn't evidence.
It's hearsay, right? I wasn't saying it was evidence or not, just providing what the prosecution alleges.

The alleged victim was an Air Force vet and a hardcore libertarian type. Not your typical trustafarian. But misguided. If you go walking around with an AR in that scenario you’re looking for trouble even if you're within your rights to do so.

There will be riots if he’s found guilty

This is yet another reminder that the state has the ability to ruin you financially by stacking their infinite resources against you if you dare resist them or their henchmen.

That picture alone is enough justification for self-defense for me. Cannot point a loaded weapon at someone, and then convict them for defending themselves. Regardless of previous conversation, based on that picture, I would feel my life was threatened and want to defend myself.
Innocent.
Innocent.

All that stuff was fine
Yet Jan 6 was the darkest day in this country’s history.

Didn’t the deceased dumbfrick have interviews where he was talking about intimidating people with the gun in question?

I'm not particularly excited about what will happen in our next presidential election cycle. All of that anger and hatred and mobilization is just simmering right now. It'll probably be worse next time around.
Except this time around Twitter won't sanitize progressive antics
They won't be able to pull another 2020, just like Joe and Co. won't be able to do another most votes ever.

quote:Guilty of thoughtcrime. That's some Soviet Union stuff, going to prison because you talked about something with a family friend.
They said he had a conversation with a family friend a few weeks prior to the Austin BLM protest on July 25, about a protest in Seattle, where a driver drove into a crowd and killed a protester. Prosecutors said in this conversation with his friend, Perry agreed someone could and should claim self-defense even if they instigated a crowd.

From the first day of the trial:
That’s not evidence. That’s the prosecutor’s theory. Granted, they wouldn’t present that theory in court unless they had evidence to back it up, but that’s the key. “Evidence” can be highly subjective. A few responses on social media about BLM or protests can be interpreted differently.
The protests in Seattle turned into organized riots and were out of control. Agreeing with those facts on social media does not prove anything.
I’d argue he was aware how quickly these “peaceful” protests could turn dangerous.
He hauled arse after he fired. Others in the crowd were armed, and fired multiple shots at his car as he fled. He pulled over a short distance away and contacted police.
Very little investigation and no charges were filed against anyone that fired at Perry as drove away. His car was hit by three bullets.

If Trump had any nuts he would have let the dogs off the chain and squashed the riots but he was scared of an election so he had to do a Bible photo op. Absolutely ridiculous we allowed mob rule in every big city. Somehow people in Louisiana never rioted though.

There was a transportation desert keeping them from traveling to better parts of town to riot and loot.

The real tragedy is that only one BurnLootMurder rioter was killed.

Violent insurrectionists stormed the TN capitol today. I'm sure the media will be consistent in it's coverage.

Not sure why but that made me laugh. Deadly conduct? And it's only a misdemeanor?
And I hope this dude gets off with no convictions. You can't walk up to someone and point weapons at them in an intimidating way, and then claim murder that isn't self defense from the other person.

In that location, yes.
Darwin took out 1-2 more in Seattle when they planted themselves on the blind curve of an interstate.
