It’s fantastic. I am doing a Re-listen of Supernova in the East. The level of detail he gets into is outstanding

He lost me a lot of times with Supernova in the East.

It wasn't as focused.

Wrath of the Khans is really good. I had no idea the savagery of that group of people. They were not to be screwed with.

I have to mow about five acres regularly in the spring, summer. This podcast was a game changer. Glad you discovered it!

Well, he is one of the most famous podcasters alive. He was one of the first to hop on the podcast train as well.

Big disappointment for me. I was expecting a soup to nuts history of the porn industry and the 3 shows I listened to had surprisingly very little porn information at all.

I agree. I loved it, but it is ranked pretty low for me. My personal favorite is Prophets of Doom. All his other stuff, I had a little of knowledge of, but that story was completely new to me. It was also one of his few podcasts that didn't center around war stories. I love war stories, but it was a nice change of pace.

Agreed. Especially considering the amount of time between episodes. It's still decent, but nowhere near on the level of "Blueprint" or "Wrath of the Khans".

Those two are just so damn good.

ETA: I take that back, Ghosts of the Ostfront is the best. Forgot about that one.

I think he’s good for stuff you aren’t familiar with. I thought his bit on Caesar invading Gaul was cringe and had to turn it off.

I spent a whole mowing season on the WWI series. found myself wanting to go cut more often so I could finish it up!

if you have a LONG drive/flight/event, it's well worth it to buy the fall of the roman republic series

I really want Quentin Tarantino to either make a movie or a miniseries out of that story. That would be incredible and incredibly juicy. If Tarantino hasn’t heard that story (it’s pretty obscure) then someone needs to inform him of it ASAP. It completely comes off as a Tarantino film.
