That's why we have to keep it secret. The only nice area to live within driving distance of south LA that's still affordable

I would post pictures if it was not so hard to do. I usually just copy and paste, but that will not work here.

I have always said the HJVJF is nice but the UUYFHGHJH is even better but we are moving to the GGMMAS.

Can go months without seeing the sunshine. ????
Wrong!. Been up here for 32 years. Now it can be cold for quite a bit of time but still get plenty of sunny cold days in the winter. Also nothing wrong with overcast because it enhances the fly fishing.

This October has been outstandingly beautiful. I just took it all in from the LSU visitor section and enjoyed being alive watching Whit Weeks rule like a king last night. Changing of leaves coming and hope it is a knock out. Great to go to the cold water streams up here to wet a fly and drive in the foliage.

It was a gorgeous night for football last night! The drought conditions and how they affect leaves changing makes for not the best fall colors this year. I find NWA much less overcast than South LA. Sunny snowy days are the best winter days.

That statement seemed wholly implausible to me. My geographic/climatological gripe with the area is that it can get a bit too dry at times, compared to say the lower Appalachian’s, but we see what problems that can bring.

Heading to Jasper area next week for a week. Off-roading, fishing and fun outdoor things with Mrs. Pot

Enjoy the falling ticks. A friend of mine gave it a try. He moved back to Houma last week.

This no joke. I lived in central AR for a couple years. Loved going hiking up in NWA but the ticks are insane. Even in our neighborhood after walks I would have to sit down with my dog and a pair of tweezers and spend 10 minutes pulling them off him. Never experienced anything like it growing up in the woods in Louisiana.

That medicine you put on the back of the dogs neck doesn't keep ticks off? I thought it was supposed to work for heartworms, fleas and ticks.

I've also lived in NWA for 32 years, it is a beautiful place to live and until recently has maintained a small town feel.

A couple of decades ago, WM told all their vendors that they had to have a NWA presence and that started a major growth boom which hasn't abated yet.

While naturally beautiful, the NWA area hasn't kept up with building new infrastructure. Traffic in Fayetteville is starting to suck. Traffic between Fayetteville and Bentonville has sucked for a while now.

The combined populations of Washington (Fayetteville/Springdale/Siloam Springs) and Benton (Rogers/Bentonville/BellaVista) is 590K as of 2023.

Fayetteville (all NWA) is suffering from a lack of affordable housing. Housing prices are climbing fast. I get at least one realtor a month asking if we want to sell our home. We bought our home in 2008 for $95 a sqft. Houses in our neighborhood are now going for over $200 a sqft.

All that said, I love living here with the low crime rates, 4 distinct seasons of weather, and nirvana for outdoor activities.

I went from growing up and going to college in NWA to living in Cincinnati. There is no comparison between the winters. Cincinnati is great for 8 months of the year but those 4 months between late fall and early spring are horrible.

Everyday gray and dreary with no real snow. Just intermittent flurries, just enough to keep the roads wet and your car looking like shite.
