Damn BR light ticket

My wife received (no pics) a damn red light ticket, didn’t come to a complete stop at a right turn on red. The damn ticket company didn’t have our correct address on file, now they are charging her with a late fee.
I know I’d just pitch the damn thing, but I don’t want to mis advise her and her have issues because she isn’t paying the ticket. She doesn’t have a problem with the ticket, it’s the late fee that has her bent out of shape because those idiots don’t have out correct address.

My wife has several that are years old. They don't do anything in BR if you don't pay them. They'll send threatening letters but that's it.

Just don't pay it. They can't make you. There is literally zero repercussions from not paying these tickets in EBR.

Don’t pay it. I refused to pay mine and my wife’s. Received multiple notices that appeared scary but nothing came of it.

As per 19825 threads about this and the news articles about the issue, nothing will happen in EBR at this time.
I have one ticket from 2 yrs ago. I get an occasional letter about it being a debt collection and it's turned over to collections blah fricking blah. But you will not go to jail, you will not face any issues with DMV nor insurance, and it will not go against your credit.

Clarify something so OP don't freak when they get a few letters:
It will go to collections(eg Transworld etc) But don't freak out. Just because they sold the debt to a collections company does NOT mean they have your SSN nor access to hit your credit report.

Thanks everyone- I’ve never paid the two that I received. But with our spouses we are always protective and I don’t want any undue stress on her.
