Good. Their brand is shite. 15 years ago they produced a great product. Now Cole Haan is better, and I understand the Cole Haan is lacking

Nordstrom Rack is the shite - I have a bunch of $400 To Boot nY shoes that I paid $150 for.

Agree that A Edmonds shoes aren’t what they used to be.

I just got a pair of lax derbys. Cheaper but fit foot like a glove and very comfortable. Also got the Badlands on sale and they've been comfortable as well.

Friend who owns a nice clothing store says he is going to stop carrying them in a couple of years. Getting tired of competing with website and getting undercut sharply by sales.

He said it seems they are going to cut back on retail outletthat aren't company stores at some point. That means they are raising prices so they can claim sale prices are sale priced when they are closer to the old price.

m 42 and own one suit that I haven't worn in a over decade. I don't have any $400 dress shoes either. Dress at my job is business casual.

You haven’t been to a wedding, funeral, some other event requiring a suit in 10 years?

I didn't know it was possible for a glued together piece of crap to be better than a goodyear welted shoe.

I have 4 or more pairs of AEs they are for the money the best dress shoe I can find.
I’m in suits everyday and need to rotate through the shoes.

AE shoes are generally not $400 they are closer to $300 at full retail and you can find them for around $200 at certain times of the year if you want.

Thy make a quality, classic American style dress shoe. The fit is nice and their refinishing service is known as the best in the business.

I own a few pairs but I’ve really moved to Magnanni which has more of a European look. It is a Spanish brand that produces fantastic quality shoes are basically the identical price point as AE. I’ve got a pot of Monk Straps and Horsebit slip ons that are my favorite two pairs of dress shoes. Easy to dress up with a suit or dress down with nice jeans when going out.

Nope. All of my friends were married or divorced a long time ago and luckily haven't had to attend a funeral in 12 years or so.
