Another thing you're ignoring is the amount of non-residents that commute through the city everyday. Yes BR has less population than other areas, but it has a port and I10 running right through it.

ok and that stat is due to a poorly designed interstate system that is well over its capacity in really one direction. As I said earlier on a regular afternoon is takes me less than 30 minutes to get from Sherwood forest to across the river.
IMO big city traffic is when you have a 6 lane road in gridlock. If you have a 6 lane roadway in gridlock how do you fix that? What we have in BR is very fixable, but our politicians suck at what they do, so....

Your stupid study shows total hours, etc. That is where it fails to consider a smaller city with a major traffic problem.
You're stupid and dumb.

OK
ETA: Going back to your own list of cities it should be compared to:

SHut your fricking stupid pie hole and use Google Maps with Traffic layer and check cities like Jackson, Mobile, Birmingham, Jacksonville, Austin, Lubbock, Spokane, Tacoma, Boise, SLC, Des Moines, Knoxville, Lexington, Nashville, Columbus(OH), and back on down to even Nola's daily clusterfrick.
Columbus, Nashville, Seattle (no idea why you use Tacoma and not Seattle other than intellectual dishonesty), and Austin are all ranked worse than NOLA.
The next question becomes what does BR/NOLa have in common with a lot of those cities on your list? Seems extremely arbitrary, but then again, some of the ones you picked have worse traffic statistically

Doesn't even have to be reasonable amount.

Whats an appropriate speed for the left lane on an interstate or freeway with a posted speed limit of 70 MPH?

Don't know about the others, but Seattle has a lot of waterways which severely limit the number of North South routes.

We need to bring the Germans in. Either they teach us to drive or they get rid of the masses who refuse to learn.
Either way, they know what they're doing.
Either way, they know what they're doing.

so you're saying Jews cant drive? Or that all the Muslim immigrants in Germany have learned how to drive?

Fast enough to pass the car on your right and move over into that lane to allow free access to the passing lane should someone decide to pass you.
Ya know, use the lane as it was designed to be used. To pass. Not to cruise

And the whole while you're doing this you have some asshat crawling up your arse and flashing his/her lights because your driving like a pawpaw in the fast lane.
This happens far more than someone doing 60 in a 70 in the left lane.

Speed up.

Speed up, move over.
I’m not sure what you’re unable to comprehend about the situation.....

Now what is happening right now on the intracoastal that is causing these backups on I-10 is temporary thing that would affect any roadway system.
But isn't it ridiculous how one thing...name it...wreck, Sunshine Bridge, closing a lane on intracoastal...brings the entire traffic through the city to a crawl. These "temporary" incidents are happening too often.

That's going to happen anywhere you have limited access(river crossings for example) and reduce the number of available routes. All that diverted traffic has to go somewhere. That's not a problem that is unique to south Louisiana.

Pics? We need a dedicate TD Traffic Reporter with pics of some accidents in the OP.

It's you who is not understanding.
You're the asshat.
No matter how fast someone is going if they are in front of you they're going to slow.
The left lane is not for you, exclusively.

But you are. My arbitrary cities were ones I have viewed using traffic apps at rush hours(adjusted for time zone) to see how they look compared to baton rouge on any random day I was bored enough to check. Those were admittedly NOT scientific you fricking retard. You're stupid and your stats link was frickin dumb as you. Only Lester is worse than you now.
Now. On to more pressing news. I-10 is fricked due to a police chase that came to end at Acadian. Both direx.
YOU DID THIS LUNCHfrick.
Advocate Link Police chase on 10
