Is Waymo still in Austin?
Yes and there is another company as well. With Robotaxi, that makes 3.

I lived there recently and Waymo was almost always cheaper than Uber/Lyft.
Waymo was just better in every way imaginable. It made me sad when I traveled to other cities that didn’t have self driving taxis and had to get stuck with the unknowns of a human driver.

I hope it is powered by consuming homeless people.

I'm going down for the Ohio St game, hoping to ribe in the CyberCab, but likely will get stuck with a model Y RoboTaxi.

Apparently you can buy these things, drive to work, and then let it leave and make money giving rides all day, and then come pick you back up after work.
Not a bad idea imo

I had my first Waymo ride in Atlanta earlier in the year and it cost the same as an Uber. Cheaper technically because I didn’t have to think twice about not tipping.

What's the cost versus a similar Uber or Lyft ride?
I just checked and a robotaxi is about 20-30% less than the cost of an uber.

Considering Tesla has no license to actually operate autonomously in any market except for a few in limited numbers for development.
I think that was theory, but not a reality any time soon
