I feel like she wants the city to hit rock bottom and then be known as the mayor who rebuilt New Orleans in a socially conscious way. She sees this and the year to come as her legacy and chance to make a political mark.

610 or anyone smarter than me — who owns the Dome? The state? NOLA???

If the nfl wants to play ball who’s call would it be to say”not in our Dome”??

Yes I’m dumb for not knowing this I guess.

What can we do? Aside from open your particular business/shop and get shut down, jailed and fined?

I’ve emailed so many legislators today about the OPERATION SNITCH thing — and my time probably should have been nicer. But someone has to do something and idk who or what that is.

Apple and Google said this week they are developing technology, using Bluetooth and smartphones, that can alert users who may have been close to an infected person.

My initial reaction was that I guess we will see how much people actually value their privacy. Something about frogs and boiling water.

But once big tech gets involved we are all fricked.. eventually they’ll just give (or sell) the info to our nanny state and we won’t be able to do anything about it. History shows us that it’s a lot easier to give up privacy than it is to get it back. See: patriot act and PRISM.

Honestly, I’d say we need to sue the absolute shite out of politicians and officials who’ve used this as an excuse to infringe on civil liberties. Make a huge shite show out of it and make sure they don’t think they have license to do even more when some other “national emergency” happens in the not too distant future.

The fallout from 9-11 brought about a gestapo like TSA and government using warrantless surveillance of private citizens all under the guise of “keeping America Safe”

And so I wonder what other big government shite is coming in the wake of Covid-19 to “keep America Safe”?

Yeah, Nola will be great with no tourism. I can't think of a city that will take more lumps outside of Vegas.

It is an absolute sin that this will be the ONLY way. The state will make even more money off of us having to pursue and pay for litigation to get back our divinely given rights. Government, in theory, is to get out of our way, the rights are NOT theirs to give nor to they derive from government.
