Yeah it’s maddening. I’m in CO and there are thousands of miles of tax payer funded paths and people still choose to ride on state and county highways

Cyclists act like they have a Right to the road like anyone else….true but I watch them break the traffic laws consistently.
They run through stop signs and traffic lights like they don’t apply to them.
I have respect for individual cyclists who are exercising but have little tolerance for the entitled packs riding around trying to make statements about their equal rights to the roadways while breaking traffic laws.

People driving speed, roll through stop signs, text, turn without signaling, pass when they're not supposed to, drift in and out of their lane, etc. Taking much of a lane when cycling is a defensive move by many generated from distracted drivers in an effort to appear more visible and force the driver to consciously see and avoid them when passing rather them trying to squeeze by when they shouldn't.
The reason people hate cyclists is because it makes them feel bad about themselves and their fast food bags piling up on their front floorboard. Too many people just don't like others who yearn for self improvement and would rather shite on anyone pursuing a healthier lifestyle because it makes them feel better.
