lolwut?

Why is the OT so triggered by cyclists?

Most of you live in Louisiana and rarely if ever encounter cyclists.

I cannot understand why yall are so triggered by cyclists. lmao.

You are whataboutisming so frickin hard.

Drivers constantly break the traffic laws, m'dude.

Come with a better argument because this fails miserably.

Because most of the people here are unhealthy, uneducated, stupid and of low self esteem.

The truth is you literally have to be safe for them, because they have no awareness.

I consider them a "protected class" because they're not quite as aware as the rest of us. Do your part, save a cyclist from themselves.

How does slipping into a spandex onesie to run through stop signs improve your self-esteem?

For knowing better than to play in the street? Have you seen people drive, drive & text, speed, distracted? I think stupid is thinking it wise to be among vehicles that are bigger by a lot, heavier by a lot and much faster.

When their condition improves, they can graduate from their bicycles to adult transportation options.

If BR was set up for cyclists it would not be an issue, but it’s set up for an ever expanding spread of suburbs where cars rule the day because they have to, and there is no choice but to have one in order to survive and thrive in society

So what you’re saying is, we should harass bicyclists?

When they master cycling, they can take up running with the real athletes.

Then, learning to drive. Such exciting times for these luddites.

Most of my riding now is done indoors on my trainer because of the amount of mouth breathers in this state but it does feel nice to get outside every now and again.

What I have always found interesting is most of the drivers that seem to be the most understanding and respectful are those who live in more rural areas...the people you would think would be the worst. Once they see it really isn't an issue to wait 30 seconds or so for a safe opportunity to pass they realize that it's not that big of a deal and no reason to endanger themselves or cyclists.

But the people here are a special kind of stupid.

Or you fat truck bros could pay more attention and not harass us.

I do my best to avoid riding in the street but at times it is unavoidable.

You truck bros are self reporting that you are all selfish assholes who care about noone else but yourselves.

I gave up road cycling years ago because I live in Louisiana, and it’s just not safe anymore. We have the worst drivers in America, and half of them are fiddling with their cell phones as they pass you, not paying attention. And this is even waaay out in the country. I deliberately avoided traffic and only rode before 10am.

The sad thing is that road cycling is a lot of fun and it’s one of the best exercises for dropping weight. It will get your arse in shape. So much for that.

And I NEVER ride a bike in Baton Rouge. Anywhere. Death sentence. Only a matter of time for those who do.

I'll repeat...

Typical wannabe Armstrong insecure cyclist comment.

And, again, why can't cyclist "train"/exercise single file inside of lane, shoulder line?

I've seen plenty lone riders hug the shoulder line while getting their workout in. Why can't packs do that? Maybe because it's not for exercise at all?

They completely redesigned Govt street to accommodate bikes and walkers. The auto traffic is atrocious at peak drive times. Know what you usually don’t see? Bikes. The effort
To accommodate cyclists has been made. there’s just not that many of them- contrary to what we’re told.
