Yeah, that’s it Prof. The world never knew what a police officer was until the mid 19th century America and in the south at that.
The only justice that could possibly come from this is for that professor to lose all credentials and start over in the 10th grade.
You know what really makes that professor a horrible person though? It’s not that they speak disparagingly about the police, or even that their mind is warped, but because they put this millstone around young people’s necks to carry around with them in life, perverting their young minds with horseshite with no concern for them or their futures, just that he is thought of as some deep thinking tuned in person. It’s purely self serving, and because it’s at the expense of those in attendance of his lectures that they pay for mind you, that’s what makes him such a horrible person.

The phrase "High Sheriff" was used on some early Andy Griffith Shows.
It's still used in rural counties in East Tennessee and adjacent areas in North Carolina. Goes back to the early settlers here and you can guess where they came from.
