Same. It was common amongst the guys in my department at my old job for whatever reason. Nerds that make pretty good money I suppose. Some worked out some didn't.

I agree with the previous statement that they mostly just become Americanized after several years.

As someone who visited the city 10 times while knowing the culture and language, all I can do is laugh at some of the OT’s perceptions of the city while passing it along as insights.

That was the only reason I went inside alone. Lol. I was more afraid of being robbed.
But I've never seen so many street women as I saw in the walled city. Colombian women were hot too, it seemed like every female police officer had to be an 8 or better.

This is true.. again, im no expert- but everything ive heard from other expats is that you should never, ever under any circumstances bring a young wife from another country back to the US to live.. to visit, sure that’s fine.. but if you bring them back to live, they will eventually start talking to other women and they will become ‘Americanized’… they will be a hot commodity here, unlike where they are from where they are dime a dozen.. same principle applies to why normal white guys are way more prized in foreign countries than in America… i dont make the rules .

Alot of that going on there. I watched a video on youtube the other day where this guy talked about being kidnapped amd held by gunpoint for like 3-4 days while they systematically took every dollar he had and even got money from some of his family.

It's not. I've been all over SE Asia. Thailand has a shite ton of ladyboys. You don't see that in other Asian countries.
